Student Organizations

  • Secure an activity permit from the Office of Student Activities (OSA) and attach a copy of the approved letter request (including the approved venue). 
  • For selling booths, please check the policy and guidelines on holding trade fairs in UPLB campus.
  • The use of UPLB icons/logos for merchandise and craft should strictly follow the guidelines stated in UPLB Visual Identity Guide and should be consulted with UPLB Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO).

External Partners

  • UPLB BAO will post an open bid on their official Facebook page. Interested concessionaires may apply and submit the required documents to BAO. Further details on the required documents, selection process, and selection criteria, and additional policies and guidelines are all indicated in Memorandum No. 075 Series of 2022 (Rental Rates, Bidding Criteria, and Opening of Food Kiosks and Canteens in the UPLB Campus), which can be found under the Leasing menu of this website.
  • UPLB BAO offers tent rental for both UP constituents and non-UP individuals according to an approved proposal dated on 22 August 2019. The daily rate for a 3m x 3m tent rental is Php 400.00 (PhP 2,500.00 weekly)  for UP constituents and PhP 600.00 (PhP 3,500.00 weekly) for non-UP individuals.*
  • The Bond Fee serves as the University’s protection in cases of damages, loss, and failure to settle any debt or liability by the Lessee to the Lessor (University). The Bond Fee is refundable within 30 days after the activity/event or the end of the contract. In cases of damages, loss, and failure to settle any debt or liability, the bond fee will be forfeited.
  • Online payment through Landbank’s Link.Biz Portal – e-banking is mandatory, particularly for joining Trade Fairs and Bazaars. A detailed guide on accomplishing an online payment can be seen in UPLB BAO’s Facebook Page.

Internal Stakeholders (Faculty, Employee, etc.)

  • To host a trade fair, offices/units must be able to have its activity/program approved by the UPLB chancellor. A copy of the approved letter of the activity/program shall be submitted to the UPLB Business Affairs Office (OVCA-BAO), Safety and Security Office (OVCA-SSO), Resource Generation and Development Office (OVCPD-RGDO), and University Planning and Maintenance Office (UPMO) at least two weeks before the activity, for the processing and coordination with the different units.   • Under the University Code Article 150 states that UPLB employees (faculty, REPS and admin) are not allowed to lease a space inside UPLB for their own business.
  • Yes, the UPLB Saturday Bazaar is exclusively open to UPLB constituents, namely faculty, REPS, administrative staff, students, student organizations, alumni, and retirees.Read more on how to join the UPLB Saturday Bazaar on the Policies and Guidelines menu.
  • Interested bazaaristas must apply and register at BAO and submit the required documents. Further details on required documents, application process, and additional policies and guidelines can be found under the Saturday Bazaar menu on Policies and Guidelines.
